Alexandra began her environmental career as a wildlife carer over 12 years ago. It was through her work with vulnerable wildlife that Alex grew a deeper sense of how human life can impact on the natural environment. With the big picture in mind, Alex studied environmental science at university and begun environmental advocacy work at grassroots level.
Since then, Alex has worked as an environmental consultant for 2 years and coordinated environmental projects at local government.
Now at the Australian Conservation Foundation, she maintains her commitment to creating awareness for sustainability and coordinates the environmental education program, GreenHome in NSW.
Outside of ACF, Alex makes environmental education films to help further create awareness. Currently Alex is undergoing an environmental leader’s fellowship at the Centre for Sustainability Leadership and it is with hope that she aspires to playing a key role in creating change for a sustainable world.
